Youth2007 takes place July 11-15, 2007. Plan now to attend!
Where will Youth 2007 take place?
Youth2007 will take place in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Our hosts for the event are the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and the Sheraton Four Seasons Koury Convention Center.
The Coliseum is located at 1921 West Lee Street, Greensboro, NC 27403.
The Sheraton is located at 3121 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407 and can be reached at 1-800-242-6556.

Who may attend Youth 2007?
Youth2007 is designed for youth grades 6-12 and their adult leaders. Knowing that youth ministry in some areas involves a much wider age range, youth of all ages from Central Conferences are invited to join this global community of United Methodist youth.
How do I register?

What is the cost of Youth 2007?
If you make a deposit before December 1, 2006, the registration fee is $165 ($140 for the Western Jurisdiction and Central Conferences). For all deposits made after December 1, 2006, the fee is $200 ($175 for the Western Jurisdiction and Central Conferences). All balances must be paid by June, 1, 2007.
What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee covers the entire Youth2007program, which includes awesome music concerts, challenging Bible studies, informative and innovative SPLATshops, service learning options, and lots of additional recreational activities.
Are scholarships available?
YES!
Limited scholarships are available until February 1, 2007, from Youth2007. However, applicants must first solicit personal financial aid from their local church, district, conference, and jurisdiction (preferably in that order) before applying for a scholarship. No scholarships will be granted for a dollar amount greater than the cost of event registration. No "comp" registrations will be issued.
Are volunteers needed?
Youth2007 depends on the service of volunteers to keep this event running smoothly. Volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities. Wherever your gifts and skills lie, rest assured that we can use them at Youth 2007.
If you are willing to come at your own expense to help with the thousands of support tasks, please send an e-mail to youth07@gbod.org. You MUST include the following information: full name, permanent mailing address, and permanent e-mail address. Partial entries will not be considered.
Can my group fly into Raleigh or Charlotte instead of Greensboro?
Yes, however be aware that you will have an additional one hour to an hour and one-half drive into Greensboro. If your group plans to fly into Raleigh/Durham or Charlotte, you will be responsible for making your own arrangements for transportation to Greensboro.
What's the weather like in July in Greensboro?
Expect average highs around 87 degrees and average lows around 68. July is a relatively dry month, but occasional thunderstorms can be expected. Humidity is high; so for those of you traveling from drier areas, the air may feel heavier and the temperature hotter than the thermometer reads. All meeting areas are air-conditioned.
What should I bring to Youth 2007?
This list will help you to pack everything you need.
What should I leave at home?
· Winter sweaters, mittens, and toboggans
· In-line skates, roller skates, and skateboards
· Alcohol or any other controlled substances not prescribed to you
· Weapons, firearms, or fireworks of any kind
· Sheets, blanket and pillow
· Loud stereo equipment (Out of respect to others, your music should not be able to be heard outside your room.)
Are participants allowed to bring cell phones?
Group leaders must make the ultimate decision about whether or not bringing cell phones is acceptable for their participants. We do ask, however, that participants be courteous and turn off phones during SPLATshops, plenaries, and worship.
Will there be free time at Youth 2007?
The event schedule allows for plenty of free time to play, explore, and learn.

I'm bored, may I leave early?
In general, participants must remain at the event until it ends. Youth2007 policy does not permit participants to depart early from the event unless permission is granted by the Event Office. The participant's group leader will be consulted if any such request is made of a Youth07 staff member.

Who is responsible for discipline at Youth 2007?
With very few exceptions, all participants are part of an established youth group. Therefore, all covenant violations must be disciplined in consultation with individual group leaders. No disciplinary actions will be taken by the Youth2007 staff without group leader involvement.
