Refried Times
Refried Times will present articles and other tidbits of information about what is going on in the world around us, and help us to think about these things in a Christian perspective, not “the Christian perspective”. One aspect of this website is learning to disagree on the minor points and still maintain a Christian community of love.
So, You Want To Start A Young Adult Group?
I often get requests from people wanting to know how to start a Young Adult group at their church. Many times you are looking for a checklist of things to cross off and then voila! you will have a successful, high-attendee, solid group of young adults participating in the life of the church. Unfortunately it is not that easy. Groups often take time in forming and establishing themselves, even as informal as they tend to be with young adults. I have developed a set of questions for you to ask yourself and others which helps to take a snapshot of what is unique to your setting. Once that snapshot is developed this will help set up a framework from which to work and build a ministry with young adults.
