About Christy Allen

Christy Allen has been involved in Youth Ministry for the past thirteen years serving as a Parent Volunteer, Interim Director (twice) and Director of Student Ministry at Plantation United Methodist Church in Plantation, Florida.  She is a Certified Candidate for Ordination as a Deacon in The United Methodist Church and attends classes at Asbury Theological Seminary where she’s pursing a Masters in Divinity.  She and her family  recently moved to Smiths Grove, Kentucky where they are continuing to seek new opportunities to serve God through music and youth ministry.  Her husband is a musician.  They have three sons between them, ages 23, 17 and 14, so they live Young People’s Ministry everyday! 

God has filled Christy with a heart for his young people making Youth Ministry her passion and her life. 

Christy says, “Most people don’t understand it when I tell them I work with teenagers for a living much less that I do it because I love it!  I love it because it is exciting, fast-paced, unpredictable, rewarding, stressful, and sometimes heartbreaking but it is always, always a place where God’s grace overflows.  I hope to be a support and resource to inspire and encourage fellow youth workers and their students so that they may experience the peace and grace of God through Jesus.”
