Schedule of Events
9:00am—3:00 Native American Cultural Festival for children, youth, & adults; arts demonstrations, storytelling, dancing, explanation of Native American Circle, powwow etiquette, girls’ shawl-making, and many other educational activities. Special performances on stage: Storyteller Ray Buckley [Lakota-Tlingit-Scot] Other artists to be added.
Noon Gourd Dancing led by Wounded Warriors, intertribal group, Shreveport, LA
1:00 Grand Entry-REDSTONE, Host Southern Drum, Jim Anquoe [Kiowa], head singer; competition for Tiny Tots and Juniors; specials
6:00 Gourd Dancing
6:30 Grand Entry-EAGLE POINT, Host Northern Drum, Robert Bass, head singer
· Exhibition & Competition dancing—PRIZE MONEY (Juniors, Teens, & Adults)
· Men and women all categories $300, $200, $100; Teens $150, $100, $50; Juniors $50, $30, $20
· Prizes for all Tiny Tots who dance in exhibition!
