2007 Youth Service Fund Recipients Receive $109,000
The Youth Service Fund is made up of contributions made by youth. Youth raise money and send it to their conference treasurer. The conference treasurer retains 70% to be used locally and forwards the remaining 30% to the national portion of the Youth Service Fund . So $109,000 represents only the national portion. Youth Service Fund is really Youth IN Ministry!
12 Youth Conferences in Nepal in 2007 ( Himalayan Bible Training Center - Kathmandu , Nepal ) $5,000
Funding will support 12 youth seminars to be held in 12 districts of Nepal . The program will train the youth leaders from each church in each district who will then lead seminars in their respective districts.

ASP Home Repair Ministries (Appalachia Service Project - Appalachian Region , USA ) $5,000
The program will mobilize youth volunteers and their accompanying adults to provide free home repairs to low- and very-low income families in Central Appalachia , making their homes warmer, safer, and drier.

The funds will capitalize on the work that was emphasized in 2006 through the Freshman Small Group, Break Team Trips, and increased publicity. The first annual Freshman Retreat is anticipated for the fall semester.

The project seeks to create and educate disciples of Jesus Christ by engaging participants over the course of a five-day event. Funds will be used to provide scholarships for participants requesting financial assistance.

Youth Alive Service Program (Lennox Tongan United Methodist Church - Inglewood , California , USA ) $4,000
An English-speaking worship service will be provided the last Sunday of each month for the younger generation of this Tongan community. Entertainment and different activities will be offered. Testimonies from the young people will be shared.

Youth-at-Risk Community Center (Community Centre - Nairobi , Kenya ) $5,000
Funds will be used to purchase Bibles and discipleship materials, train 25 youth on community mobilization and how to start a small-scale business, and support True Love Waits clubs in local schools.
