The program will include staff, volunteers, and subcontracted professionals, drilling wells for families and individuals without access to public water, installing septic systems for homes without indoor plumbing, and providing badly needed plumbing upgrades where systems are defunct or almost defunct due to lack of repair in the face of lack of resources.

Growing Up Hip-Hop, Living by Faith $8,000.00

The purpose of the Harlem MetroYouth Center is to empower young leaders, while affirming their "hip-hop" identity, to transform the Village of Harlem from a haven of poverty and despair to a solace of hope and love. As a community-based initiative, the youth center will partner with existing neighborhood organizations to enhance and deliver a variety of educational, health care, and vocational services and opportunities, focused on youth development.

The project seeks to develop and implement a new worship series of curriculum for Sidewalk sites. The series will be field tested by MoTen youth in conjunction with Sidewalk leadership, and worship response projects will be led by youth leadership for the children of Sidewalk. Addressing social justice issues, the faith communities will learn about issues facing society and the Biblical response, and respond in social action projects in a WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) and WWID (What Will I Do) response format.
