The Global Young People’s Convocation-Legislative Assembly is a gathering of United Methodist Youth, Young Adult and Adult Workers with Young People from around the world. This will be a place where 500 United Methodist young people from all across the world will come together to share, learn and connect. The event will have two parts: the Global Young People’s Convocation and Legislative Assembly.
As a Global and Connectional Church we should strive to learn, understand each other’s cultural differences and the unique backgrounds that bring us together as God’s people. One of my dreams and visions for the Central Conferences is to have young people from all over the world to come together and connect with each other. My vision is for them to share their personal life experiences, struggles, gifts and realities, so their stories may be used to impact other young to transform this world. Young people coming together bridging gaps and differences that separate us such as social, economical, religious, ethnic and political. Our goal is to empower young people to become world-changing disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Global Young People’s Convocation is open to all United Methodist Youth, Young Adult and Adult Worker with Young People of the denomination. Only delegates can vote at the Legislative Assembly. [Interested in being a delegate?]
