Charles wrote 6500 hymns. Many were published in the 50-65 hymns (depending on source). How did the WEsleys introduce these songs to a congregation or outdoor audience. Did they use instruments, such as the continuo ensemble typical of the period, line-out...? That's three new hymns a week to teach, to new groups! I have looked in dozens of web-sites and scores of hymnody texts which talk about the music and texts, but not the method of teaching and performing.
