Purpose & Goals

Purpose & Goals

Our purpose is to feed and form spiritual leaders by deepening our experience in the mystery of God’s presence in our lives.

Our goals are:

  • To deepen our discernment of how to live as spiritual leaders in the United Methodist Church

  • To learn to live creatively and constructively following Christ today, and

  • To explore how to embody the mystery of God’s presence.

From Julian of Norwich

"Our good Lord showed a spiritual vision of his humble loving. I saw that he is to us everything that is good and helpful. He is our clothing that for love wraps us and winds about us and encloses us for tender love, that he may never leave us. And so in this vision I saw that he is everything good, as I understood it.

And then he showed a little thing, the size of a hazelnut, lying in the palm of my hand, as it seemed to me. It was as round as a ball. I looked at it with the eye of my understanding and thought, What can this be? It was answered generally thus" "It is all that is made." I marveled that it could last, for it was so little that it could suddenly have become nothing. I was answered in my understanding, "It lasts and ever shall, for God loves it." And so everything has being by the love of God."
