As we are blessed to live in the light of Christ, we have a responsibility to spread that light to others. Through our hearts, thoughts, and actions, we pledge to be faithful disciples of the Lord, our God. Because Jesus gave his life for us, we dedicate our lives to him, living humbly as servants of the Lord and examples of his grace. By the grace of God, we make our covenant.
We are examples of Gods love and redeeming power, experienced by many. Thus shared it is our witness in the world.
- I will continue my work with children affected by HIV/ AIDS.
- I will continue visiting the mentally disabled during the summer and working at a special needs camp.
- I will firmly speak out against discrimination.
- I will devote my time and resources to inform others of social injustice.
- I will help to organize a multicultural event that celebrates diversity in the UMC.
- I will volunteer to participate in different aspects of my weekly church service (usher, acolyte, liturgist).
- I pledge to take 15 minutes out of each day to be still and listen for Gods voice through nature.
- I pledge daily to spend time reading the Bible and journaling my spiritual growth.
As we remember God in our thoughts and actions, we will ask his guidance by daily seeking his spirit in prayer and by listening to the thoughts he puts on our hearts. Thus we make our commitment, trusting that the Lord will provide the strength necessary to keep this covenant.

We as followers of Christ recognize his sacrifice for our salvation through Gods miracle of grace and therefore pledge to live out our love of God through these actions:
- We will seek to reach the lost (elderly, impoverished, shut-ins) in our community, nation, and/or world by loving them.
- We will express the will of God as we know it when the world believes otherwise.
- We will take part in a regular cleansing of our souls, fellowship with God, and praise in a community of others.
- We will spend time in daily devotion including prayer, invitation to the Holy Spirit, and the word of God.
- We recognize our human imperfection but, with Gods forgiveness, our sins can be cleansed.

In response to the grace of God in Jesus Christ, and in order to equip youth with the necessary tools to grow spiri-tually, and to share our faith assisting youth on their faith journey, we commit ourselves to live as fully devoted followers of Christ through acts of compassion, justice, worship, and devotion.
- We will make an intentional daily contact with youth.
- We will listen to the pain of youth who are suffering and do whatever we can in our community to end things that cause that suffering (e.g., boycott violent toys, movies, etc.).
- We will worship with youth in a variety of settings and styles.
- We will keep youth daily in our prayers.
We hereby make our commitment, trusting in the grace of God to give us the strength to keep this covenant. Less of us, more of God.

- Seek to teach justice.
- Worship God in new and exciting ways.
- Pray for worship leaders.
- Talk with God each day in our own way.
- Pray daily for others in the group.
- Pray daily for spiritual development.
Thank you for the opportunity to be disciples of Christ.
