Words of Encouragement From Charles Wesley

Let us plead for faith alone,
Faith which by our works is shown;
God it is who justifies,
Only faith the grace applies.
Active faith that lives within,
Conquers hell and death and sin,
Hallows whom it first made whole,
Forms the Savior in the soul.
Let us for this faith contend,
Sure salvation is the end;
Heaven already is begun,
Everlasting life is won.
Only let us persevere
Till we see our Lord appear,
Never from the Rock remove,
Saved by faith which works by love.

"For in Christ Jesus ... the only thing that counts is faith working through love." Galatians 5:6 |
Christ the Lord is risen today;
Sons of men and angels say:
Raise your joys and triumphs high;
Sing, ye heavens; thou earth, reply: Alleluia!
Love's redeeming work is done,
Fought the fight, the battle won;
Vain the stone, the watch, the seal;
Christ hath burst the gates of hell! Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King;
Where, O death, is now thy sting?
Once he died our souls to save;
Where's thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ hath led,
Following our exalted Head;
Made like him, like him we rise;
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies: Alleluia!
King of Glory! Soul of bliss!
Everlasting life is this,
Thee to know, thy power to prove,
Thus to sing, and thus to love. Alleluia!

"Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58 |
