Covenant Discipleship Quarterly to Become Covenant Discipleship Connection

 The Covenant Discipleship Quarterly is changing. After 23 years as a quarterly publication, in January 2009 it becomes a monthly e-mail newsletter. The Covenant Discipleship Quarterly becomes the Covenant Discipleship Connection.
This change gives us more fl exibility and helps us more effectively serve our readers. For example, you will hear from us more frequently and we will be able to include hyperlinks in articles that will give readers the option to read more about a subject or event mentioned by the writer. The Covenant Discipleship Quarterly was established in 1986 by Dr. David Lowes Watson. Its mission was to provide practitioners of Covenant Discipleship theological reflection and practical ideas in support of the ministry. This continues to be the mission of the new Covenant Discipleship Connection.
Here are some of the changes:
- To subscribe to the new Covenant Discipleship Connection, please go to http://www.gbod.org/cdq and complete the subscription form. If you receive multiple copies of the CDQ, you may submit as many e-mail addresses as you like. We will also provide a printer-friendly version of the CD Connection.
- Writers who submit articles for the new Covenant Discipleship Connection (no more than 500 words) will receive up to $50. Payment will be based upon length of the article. Only writers whose articles are selected for publication will receive payment. We are looking for stories about how Covenant Discipleship groups contribute to the congregation's mission in the world, practical ideas for groups around the four areas of the General Rule of Discipleship, ideas for how to support and sustain the ministry, how the groups deal with changes in pastors, poetry, music, prayers, and liturgy. Send your articles to cdgroups@gbod.org.
