Emma Lazarus' famous poem, beginning "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free," has welcomed millions of immigrants to the USA as they passed by the Statue of Liberty, where the words are inscribed. United Methodist musician and composer Ryan Neaveill has adapted the poem to the hymntune GENEVA 124 (United Methodist Hymnal, 670).
