Here are some resources that may help pastors and worship planners in preparing to observe this day in worship. The focus on fathers need not be primary, since Christian worship focuses on the triune God and the proclamation of the gospel in the context of the Christian year. As a special day in the wider culture, Father's Day invites the congregation to connect its calling as the people of God with the special vocation fathers have in the family and also with healing where that vocation has be distorted or neglected.
