What Would You Do?

The youth group has a site on myspace.com. As you have been reading news about the dangers of youth using this site, you become increasingly concerned. As the pastor of the church, what would you do?

• Leave a copy of a newspaper article for the leader of the youth group and hope the messages gets through.

• Walk into the the youth group meeting,
  Announce that the youth group will no longer have an internet presence. Period! No discussion.

• Set a time with the youth group leader to talk about internet issues. Share what you have been reading and about your concerns. Ask the youth group leader what safety procedures are in place. Ask what has been discussed with the youth about internet safety. Ask if there are other ways of providing a safe internet presence for the youth group.
