FOCUS 2009 – Children and Youth Program

How wonderful that FOCUS 2009 is on your calendar for this summer! While you have an extraordinary opportunity to deepen your commitment to ministry with children, your children are offered the opportunity to participate in developmentally appropriate, faith forming and fun activities with other children and youth in a safe and loving environment.

SCHEDULE and CURRICULUM

BabyA Vacation Bible School-like program will take place each day for all children using the theme “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made”. Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers will stay “close to home”. Elementary children will have the opportunity to explore the Children’s Museum with a specially designed hands-on program, while youth will also spend time at the Children’s Museum and take part in a pilgrimage in Indianapolis.

The Children and Youth programs will be available Wednesday, July 22nd and Thursday, July 23rd from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, and on Friday July 24th, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Childcare will also be available during the Pre-conference seminars on Monday, July 20th.

All children and youth are welcome at worship services throughout the event and especially for the Family Fun Night and the evening event at the Children’s Museum.

A mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack, as well as lunch [except for those infants and toddlers who require special food] will be provided. Toddlers and preschoolers will have a nap/rest time after lunch. There will be an Infant/Toddler Feeding form provided at registration.

CHILDCARE FEES [AGES 0-17]

Pre-Conference – July 20, 2009 – $20 per child [please pay on-site]
Conference – July 21-24, 2009 – $75 per child
Day Pass Attendees – $30 per child per day [please pay on-site]

The fees include lunch and snacks, adult leadership, programming supplies, materials and equipment. Since space is limited, children will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.

LOCATION

All children will be cared for on-site at the Indianapolis Marriott East Hotel in junior suites set up with a learning center atmosphere. The infant/toddler area will be on the secure floor of the hotel, and the older children will be in close proximity to the program area.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

GirlRegister your child[ren] on line, fill out the registration form and fax to the address listed below. You will receive a confirmation that your registration(s) were received. Children and youth will not be accepted into the Children and Youth Programs after July 15th so that appropriate staffing arrangements can be made. No exceptions, please.
