Singles Summer Retreat

After my 19 year marriage ended I was stunned to realize that my friends changed. My married friends wanted to be there but our different worlds became apparent quickly. I found myself navigating a new path, one that required me to meet new friends. It can feel scary to walk into a room of folks when I don’t know anyone. If I want friendship I need to extend the hand of friendship. So, I’m extending the hand of friendship to you.  ~ Shebbie Shields, Director, Single Adult Ministry, Brentwood UMC, Brentwood, TN
