For many years Christians have discovered a variety of practices to keep in touch with God. These practices help us create the space we need to listen to God, speak to God, and understand ourselves in relation to God and one another through Jesus Christ. Jogn Wesley called these practices "means of grace." That term reminds us that these practices are a means, not an end in themselves. They help us experience God's presence. As teachers, we need to be growing in our relationship with God. We also help our group members develop a relationship with God.
