Strategy

Welcome the Strategy Section of the L3 Leadership Incubator. In this section you will find a group of tools that will move you toward developing a Ministry Action Plan for your congregation.

To start, take a look at the Strategy Scenario. This will give you an overview of the process you will lead as you go through these six sessions. Using the example of Fellow Community Church, you will see how they used the tools to develop their Ministry Action Plan.

As you work through these lessons, please keep the following in mind:

  • The steps build on each other. Be sure to complete each step, even if it means waiting until the next time you meet to complete the process.
  • Pray and discern. As people share out of their passion for their ministry, sometimes it is helpful to have time-outs where the group prays and seeks God’s guidance.
  • Keep looking forward. At times you may feel like there is too much to do. Remember you can only do so much at a time. The key is having a direction you are moving towards as you live out the vision of your ministry.
  • Have fun. This is where your Incubator needs to be the most innovative and creative. Rather than getting bogged down, keep the group focused on the great possibilities that are before them.

The L3 has six lessons devoted to this material, but in some cases it may take more. That is fine. You have twelve sessions set aside for Implementation. During this time you will review and use the tools you have learned over and over again. Your goal during these sessions is to make sure everyone understands the tools and to create a solid foundation on which to build your ministry.
