L3 Leadership Incubator

A tool for developing spiritual leaders

Vital, vibrant churches need leaders who can create disciple-making faith communities. As it says in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Jesus gives this mission to all who would follow him, both pastors and lay people.  Every person has a capacity to be a leader in the very context where they live their lives – home, school, church, community, and workplace.

Capacity for spiritual leadership is developed in an Incubator. This initiative creates a peer learning environment where spiritual leaders are coached, nurtured, and introduced to new ways of working together. New ministry ideas are born, nurtured, and developed. Leaders are formed in community with other leaders.

What does "L³" stand for?

• L¹ stands for loving: Loving God and neighbor.
  
• L² stands for learning: Participants learn together as they understand their personal gifts and abilities, as they investigate the current reality of their context and congregation, and as they plan for the future.
  
• L³ stands for leading: Participants will lead by implementing an Incubator Ministry Action Plan with others in their particular setting.

These three components are a part of every L³ Incubator session.

Participants make a commitment to meet regularly for peer-to-peer learning and coaching as they develop a ministry action plan for their congregations. Meeting for twelve sessions, six to twelve leaders will focus on their spiritual growth, leadership skills, and the development of a Ministry Action Plan (MAP) for their ministry. As a participant, you'll rekindle your passion and gifts for disciple-making ministry that will make a difference. You'll learn best practices for leading with integrity and innovation.
