GBOD Extends Deadline for Discipleship University
(NASHVILLE, Tenn., February 6, 2009/GBOD) — Large churches may still apply for Burning Bush, an opportunity for congregational leaders to build a comprehensive plan for discipleship. The core curriculum for Discipleship University, Burning Bush is a key strategy for addressing revitalization of congregations, which supports the denomination's Four Areas of Focus.
GBOD is recruiting congregations to begin Burning Bush 2 in April. This second "round" of experiences is designed for large-membership churches (those congregations with an average attendance of 250 or more in worship). Congregations that would benefit from this experience are encouraged to apply.
Application materials and more information are available at www.gbod.org/du. The Burning Bush program for large churches begins April 30. The application deadline has been extended to Feb. 27.
