| Demonstrated interpersonal skills, capacity to communicate effectively and function efficiently with the highest level of church leaders; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of office procedures; demonstrated creativity for assistance in new projects and relationships; demonstrated advanced administrative/secretarial knowledge and skills; knowledge of structure, function, programs, policies and procedures of the and the General Board of Discipleship; knowledge of the structure and polity of The United Methodist Church; preferred membership in the United Methodist Church; ability to use discretion, judgment and initiative and to make independent decisions; ability to keep highly confidential information; demonstrated mastery of English language, grammar, punctuation; demonstrated cultural sensitivity; demonstrated proficiency on person computer, including Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel. Must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalency; event and project management skills; and six to seven years of directly related work experience.
