Certification Program in Evangelism Available Did you know that there is a certification program in evangelism available through the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry? There are tracks for ordained elders and deacons, diaconal ministers, and laypeople who have been engaged in evangelism ministries or are currently engaged in evangelism ministries in the local church. There are also tracks to follow for people with master's degrees, bachelor's degrees or no degrees from college. All candidates for certification must meet the standards and study requirements and have designated years of experience in evangelism ministry. This certification program is similar to the certification programs in youth ministry and Christian education. Each person in the certification programs has a biannual review.
