When is Christian Education Week?

Christian Education Week (or Sunday) is one of the observances approved by General Conference, and it is to be observed at the time designated by the annual conference. There is no specific date mandated for Christian Education Week, although it is often observed in the fall.

What is the free resource for Christian Education Week, and how do I get it?

Christian Education Week 2008 (or current year) is always available for free download from www.gbod.org/education. Scroll down the page to find the link to Christian Education Week. (Click here for the 2008 resource in pdf format.) When the resource is published, an e-mail -- or in some cases, a print copy -- is sent to the lists of educators we have in our database. If you are unable to download a copy or wish to be added to the database, call 1-877-899-2780, ext. 7059. This resource is also available in Spanish and Korean. Each issue is thematic for the year and includes two articles, a workshop, worship resources and a suggested liturgy, clip art, and resource list.

Are offering envelopes available?

The annual conference may provide envelopes; check with your conference office. Envelopes are NOT produced by United Methodist Communications, Discipleship Resources, or Cokesbury.
