Ministry with Younger Children (A New Blog)
Why a blog? This blog exists to support those who care for and care about children, ages 0-5, and their formation Our hope is that this will be an opportunity for learning, teaching, and sharing in a way that glorifies God. Some entries will contain information on the newest research in child development; some will focus on resources for Sunday school and weekday programs; and others will contain stories of triumphs and challenges in forming our children. Each will end with a question to ponder.

The Children's Minister
By Rita B. Hays
What if a child who's a part of your church family reveals his dog just died? Her mom and dad are divorcing? The family is moving to another city? These are pastoral (not programming) issues. Is your church prepared to be in ministry with children? To relate with children where they are?

How Adults Can Nurture Children in the Christian Faith
Here are some of the ways that adults can nurture children in the Christian faith.

Safe Sanctuaries
Safe Sanctuaries is more than guidelines, policies and procedures implemented to create an environment in which children, youth and the adults who work with them have boundaries of safe space. Safe Sanctuaries is an overt expression of a congregation in making a congregation a safe place where children and youth may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.
